A rough cut, we have a rough cut!
Lianne and I spent a lot more of our day Saturday then we intended to do, but we finished the first and very, very rough cut of the movie. It comes in at just under 13 minutes.
We have two There4 songs mixed in right now and I should be listening to some more to figure out what to roll over the credits.
I have given Lianne a blank slate to time to work with in terms of going from rough cut to finished product. It takes time and she doesn’t have all the programs mastered yet (Soundtrack, is what I am thinking of here. It needs to sound right).
There is some minor color correction and a good deal of lighting adjustments that need to be made.
I also need to send my camera into the shop, remind me to do that soon.

Hello world,
Lianne and I have half the film edited. We are at about a hour a minute pace for the editing, so I am hoping another 5-6 quality hours in front of the Mac will get us a finished rough cut.
Then Lianne can have all the time she wants to put a polish on it.
I want the film done by Sunday. I don’t think that is too much of a stretch, if we have 6 hours of work, and we get some Thursday night (maybe 2-3) then we need some time during the day Saturday or Sunday.
Did everyone buy the There4 EP?
If anyone has tips on how to package DVD’s, I am all ears. I wanted to be able to have the DVD’s in regular DVD clam cases, with cover art and labels, and it looks like this might run me about 4 bucks a disk. That seems pricey to me.
Ok, hopefully back with more on Friday!
Hello all,
I currently want to set up a filmmaker’s blog I can throw up here and have Lianne and I edit it but for now I will just type HTML code poorly. I hope you can all deal.
We have digitalized all of our footage and have started putting the movie together.
I want to thank There4 for allowing me to use there music in my movie. Go buy their album.
We expect the film to be finished soon, and to make the rounds at local film festivals. It will also be on sale here, once it is done. Of course, the focus is on getting the film done, then worrying about things like cover art. I don’t want Lianne (Editing/designer) killing me.
Check back, often.
